Show ttanksville News Notes Ninety-five Wayne County Senior Citizens met in Hanks-ville Hanks-ville Thursday and enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment and a lovely dinner served by the ward Relief Society. LaVon Forsyth is the group's president, presi-dent, assisted by Jeppie Sorenson as vice president. Two buses brought Senior Citizens from towns in upper Wayne County and were driven by Ilene Van Dyke and Carl Ellett. The program was under the direction of Harold and Nell Ekker and included vocal numbers by Marilyn Sellers, and Dennis Ekker with a selection of favorite songs played by Norma Ekker Boiler on the accordian. A skit was presented by the Relief Society. Soci-ety. Included in the group were: LaVon and Emma Forsyth, Jeppie and Emma Sorenson, Harold and Wanda Blackburn, Dewey and Nell Gifford, Melvin and Nelda Cook, John and Myrtle Cook, Grant and Ruby Brown, LaVor and May Brown, Grace Baker, Mae Coombs, Dolan Brian, Jack Tappan, Lon and Relia Ellett, Orawell Williams, Rex and LaPreal Forsyth, Vaughn Taylor, Urban Hanks, Wayne and lone Blackburn, Hans and Cleo Olyer, Mrs. and Mrs. Claus De Leeuw, Belle Taylor, Melba Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johansen, Viola Rees, Dalton and Luva Okerlund, Ruth Taylor, Lucy Torgerson, Aaron Williams, Kenneth and Rachel Baker, Leah Savage, Lee and Nina Chappell, Nettie Brian, Maude Pace, Ellis and Ruth Coleman, Jim and Hazel Smellie, James and Wanda Ellett, Karl and Clieve Mathis, Harold and Marjorie Erickson, LaVernTaft, Vera Jones, Artie Taft, Lola Anderson, Helen Morrell, Rena Chappell, Lola Brown, Lula Taylor, Eva B. Albrecht, Rue Brown, Mor-selle Mor-selle Burbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Schulte, Welby Van Dyke, S perry and La Preal Chappell, Iva Nebeker, Alzada Jensen, Laura Hunt, Herbert and Duella Weber, Edna Ekker Robison, Laurence and Etta Ekker, Harold and Nell Ekker, Sylvia Ekker and Edna Lance. Group pictures were taken. Two sets of twins were recognized. Harold and Nell Ekker at the Senior Citizens Party held Feb. 5th in Hanksville. 95 persons were in attendance. |
