Show Services Set Thursday For Martin Davis Martin E. Davis, owner of Moab Lumber Company for 10 years, passed away at 12:02 a.m. Feb. 9 in Holy Cross Hospital, Salt Lake City. Mr. Davis, active in the j Moab Country Club, Elks Lodge and golfing and bowling circles, had a number of m offices in the Moab Country Club and was a trophy winner many times in tournament competition. He was in the lumber business for 40 years. In 1965 he purchased Moab Lumber Company, selling the business in July 1974 and continuing to manage it until his passing. His friendliness and willingness willing-ness to assist and give advice on projects will be especially ; remembered by many. Born Dec. 28, 1913 in Grand "Junction, Colo., to John F. and .. Florence I. Davis, he graduated graduat-ed from Grand Junction High School and Ross Business College, Grand Junction. 1i y On Oct. 1, 1949 he married J Evlyn M. (Mickey) Lowder at Rio Arriba, N.M., a town outside of Chama. Survivors include his wife, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Loyd A. Davis, Riverside, Calif.; John F. Davis, Arvada, Colo.; George C. Davis, Escondido, Calif.; Mabel E. Venton, Folsom, Calif.; and Gertrude Aspasuri, Grand Junction; two stepchildren, Mrs. Pete Borel-lo, Borel-lo, Mountain View, Calif., and Michael Cochran, Ft. Collins, Colo., and 4 grandsons. Services will be held Thursday, Thurs-day, Feb., 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. Neal Foster. Pallbearers will be Ron Robertson, Glenn Victor, Kenny Venton, George Davis, John Davis and Lee Aspasuri. Honorary pallbearers are James Jam-es Ellis, James Kurtz, Bill Kurtz, Don Swasey, Glen Bunce, Haines Bigum and Ed Tomsic. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
