Show High Production, Higher Price Improves Copper Outlook Here Keystone-Wallace Resources Resourc-es this week announced the second consecutive record production month at their Lisbon Valley copper mining and milling complex, according accord-ing to F. E. Leib, president cf the company. The firm has exceeded 1 million net pounds of cepper refined to 90 per cent purity during each of the last two months, Mr. Leib said. George M. Along with the record production, pro-duction, Mr. Leib stated that the price cf copper has taken a rise in the past week to 52 V2 cents per pound compared com-pared to 50 cents a month ago and 60 cents a year ago. He stated that he feels that the rise in copper prices is the beginning of a stabilization of the economy and is hopeful hope-ful that the prices will now begin the climb, back up to normal. He is also looking forward to a continued high rate of production at the Lisbon Lis-bon Valley facility. At this time the company plans no expansion of th;i plant, although they are cur-1 cur-1 entry exploring the possibilities possibil-ities of additional mining operations op-erations in the Lisbon area. |
