Show llanksvitte- Weivs By Barbara Ekker The community was shocked and saddened by the sudden death Friday of Ford Weber. He died of an apparent heart attack while dumping debris at the, city dump. He was found by Steven Hatch and Charlie Noyes when they drove up to unload State Road debris. He was given immediate first aid but to no avail. No law officer if. ! J CJ - - - was available to authorize moving him and so the county attorney in Richfield was called. He was taken by ambulance driven by his grandsons, Gregory and Kar-min Kar-min Hunt to Richfield. Funeral services are pending. He would have been 75 on his birthday in November and he and his wife, Ida Mecham Weber, would have celebrated their 50th anniversary also this coming November. He is survived by his wife, four daughters; Audrey Tuft, Salt Lake; Mrs. Jeannine Hunt, Hanksville; Mrs. Ranae Al-brecht, Al-brecht, Bicknell; and Mrs. Cheryle Avery of Idaho; brothers Herb of Bicknell and Albert of Price. Sisters Martha Wyllie and Julia Christensen preceeded him in death, as did a brother, Ray. Ford was an outstanding member of the community. A person who was honest and truthful in every phase of his life. He was a rancher and farmer and enjoyed outdoor life to the fullest. He was a former State Highway Dept. shed foreman when roads in this country were still quite primitive and needed far more attention. He was a counselor in the Hanksville Ward Bishopric under Bishop Bernes Jackson, along with holding numerous church positions, over the years. He and his wife were both active in the Hanksville Culinary and Canal Water Company. Ford will be missed by young and old alike. His wit and wisdom will be remembered remem-bered down through the centuries. Like his parents. Frank and Cecelia Stoddard Weber who helped in home-steading home-steading Hanksville. Ford's deeds will be a monument to this dear man whom we'll all miss deeply.
