Show Firm Enters Uranium Exploration Cornelia Corporation, a firm with interests in oil and gas wells, and community antenna an-tenna television, has entered the nuclear business, according accord-ing to an article in the Mining Min-ing ,and Natural Resources Record. The firm has acquired unpatented un-patented mining claims in Moffat County, Colo, purchased purchas-ed for an undisclosed sum from a group of individuals subject to engineering and title ti-tle reports, the Record noted. - Cornelia president, Francis Fran-cis X. Orofino, Jr., defined the properties as being located lo-cated in an area regarded by the AEC as the nation's two major uranium ore enviorn ments. Several of the 'Colorado 'Colo-rado claims have been subjected sub-jected to a totaPof 45,000 ft of exploratory drilling; others show surface uranium exposures. expos-ures. Cornelia is also acquiring Canadian uranium claims in the Johan-Beetz area. Acquisition Ac-quisition of the two sets of claims marks Cornelia's entry en-try into the nuclear business. |
