Show Price College Workshop to View m Resource Development in Area A four county development conference in February will be the subject of a planning meeting Thursday, January 25 in Green River. During the meeting groundwork ground-work will be laid for a broad 1 regional conference that will be hosted by the College of Eastern Utah on February f 29, where an intensive look at tourism, mineral resources, water, and industrial devel-e devel-e opment will be taken by bus-a bus-a iness and education leaders a of Carbon, Emery, Grand, r( and San Juan counties. re. The conference will be hi- sponsored by the University 35 of Utah Community Developed Develop-ed ment office, and the College ;It- of Eastern Utah, and will be financed by a special federal grant. Attending the planning session ses-sion in Green River will be Keith Wright, University of Utah Development officer; Ed Drake, state Representative Representa-tive from Grand and Emery counties; Ken Silliman, Emery Em-ery county Commissioner; Paul Keller, Fifth District Juvenile Judge; Bruce Halli-day, Halli-day, Monticello Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Charles Peterson, College of Eastern Utah. According to Dr. Peterson, the planning of the regional conference will be designed to provide some post-conference .continuity toward the development of the four counties coun-ties involved. |
