Show BPW Club Opens New Season With Dinner Meeting at Apache ; The Business and Professional Profes-sional Women's Club this week opened their 1968 year with a dinner meeting at the Apache Cafe. President Mary Wilson presided, and read a letter of thanks from Sgt. Bill Ellington, Vietnam, expressing express-ing appreciation for their Red Cross Christmas package. The Canyonlands Festival Traveling Trophy plaque, sponsored by Three States Supply, was presented to the Club for the year. Program for the evening was on "Civic Participation," presented by chairman Nellie Nel-lie Beyeler. Members were urged to communicate with their community. Time and place - of the Grand County Commission metings, Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce luncheon meetings, and the City Council Coun-cil meetings were noted, and it was pointed out they are open to the public and should be supported in person. ) Members were reminded ot the Winter Board meeting eii Jan. 28 at the Ramada Inn" in Salt Lake Citv. On March 10 the Moab BPW will host the District meet. |
