Show Sports Realignment Will Help Our Area, Blewitt Reports Grand County High School principal, Jeston Blewitt, re- , turned to Moab with some encouraging en-couraging reports for 1969 sports this week, after attending attend-ing a ReaFgnment Committee Commit-tee meeting in Salt Lake City. Representing Region 6 at the meet was Mr. Blewitt and Lee Petty, principal of Uinta High School, Vernal. One representative rep-resentative from the other districts attended. Region 6 is seeking a new realignment competition in sports, for more closely matched Mr. Blewitt said Region 6 had much support for their request. Region 4 and 5 joined join-ed in calling for a realignment realign-ment program, suggesting a C division, and possibly a D division should be added to the standing A and B classes. Region 8 also favored a realignment. re-alignment. The Moab principal said he had little hopes the situation would be resolved in time for Fall sports in 1968, but 1969 should see some changes. Another An-other meeting is scheduled for February '3 to discuss the issue further. i |
