Show Wallace Greer Dies in Colo. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday in Moab for Walter T. Greer, 76, former resident of Moab and resident of Grand Junction for the past , ten years. He passed away at the Palisade Nursing Home at Palisade, Saturday, following follow-ing a three week illness. Mr. Greer wns born at Woodfort. North Carolina An-ril An-ril 11. 1891. He spent his childhood and school years there, and was married in Maryland in December, 1910. He was a World War I veteran, vet-eran, and a veteran of the Mexican Border fight of 1916-1917. 1916-1917. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, four daughters: Ancel Greer, Mullens. W. Va.; Omer Greer, Longview, Wash.:, Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Burchett and' Miss Debbie Deb-bie Jo Greer, bofh of Grand Junction: Mrs. Faye Graham, Todd. N.C.; and Mrs. Ardna Odes. Ocean City, New Jer sey. Also surviving is one brother, Winn Greer, Todd, N.C.: 7 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Turner Chapel under direction of Pastor Emil Balla. Graveside Grave-side rites were held by the American Legion.' Interment was in Grand Valley Cemetery, Ceme-tery, beside his deceased son, Ronda Dee Greer. The Turner Tur-ner Funeral Home directed' the burial rites. |
