Show Editor: In answer to a recent letter commenting on the causes for Teenagers traffic fatili-ties fatili-ties of Moab. There is the other side of the story, no matter how thin the paper. We already have a city, that has over harrased the teenager, with too many traffic traf-fic offenses handed out needlessly. need-lessly. A time has come for an honest analyst of traffic safe-ey, safe-ey, not connected with emotionalism, emo-tionalism, promotionalism and priviledgeism. A better way to say it, Using Us-ing Paranoid drives, to place a feather in a cap, and a-gainst a-gainst the underpriviledge who can not defend themselves them-selves in Court. Is what we do not need. We can't blame all the ac-c;dents ac-c;dents on the Kids. Kenneth L. English Moab, Utah Dear Editor: From February 12-16, I again occupied a bed at the I. W. Allen Memorial Hospk al. Unless one spends time in another Hospital I feel that they take for granted an excellent ex-cellent Institution in the Town of Moab. From the one who brought my tray of food to the Technician and M. D. I must report that they gave the nest care one receives in any Hospital to my knowledge In the words of a former patient who stated . "They treat you like you're a King." I agree. Sincerely Jeston S. Blewitt Dear Sam, This is the time each year the Moab Museum makes its annual appeal for badly needed need-ed operating funds. There's no ballyhoo about it, and except for letters to regular contributing members and to a few others who should be interested, there is no solicitation solici-tation as such. Moab Museum Board members mem-bers are pleased with the increasing in-creasing number of visitors (400 in four years), but are disappointed in the financial support from our citizens. Un- til last year, when we received receiv-ed an assist for expenses from the Recreation Board, the Museum had never received any public monies or grants. For most of its backers the Museum has been a labor of love and a self imposed obligation obli-gation of responsibility to the cultural and historic heritage of our community. We know we have been lucky to have Curator Billie Provonsha, who has achieved excellent results with available funds. The Moab Museum has fully ful-ly earned wider public support sup-port than it is getting. With adult memberships starting as low as $1.59, $5.00, $10.00, and up to $1000.00, the Board would appreciate a membership member-ship from every adult in the area. It's a personal investment invest-ment in Moab's past and future, fu-ture, and it deserves our support. The Museum Board urges each of your readers to write a tax deductible check to Moab Museum, then plan an early visit to the Museum on Center Street. Visiting hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 each day. It's all free, and visitors are most welcome.
