EMPLOYEES EXCEPT NIGHTWATCHMAN In handing out political donations at the end of the work of the Legislature there was one man on whose shoulders a great deal of heavy work fell, and who failed to receive the extra com-pensation com-pensation for his work. That man was James Veiteh, night watchman for the city and county building. The latter was of great assistance as-sistance during the Legislature in securing se-curing accommodations for the night meetings. Every other - person who worked for the House and Senate Teceived something some-thing for his work. The elevatoAboy received $30 from the House and $10 from the Senate for his work, while the engineer drew down $25 and his assistant as-sistant $20. |
