Show EXCURSION TRIP TO ENGLAND "SOUNDS GOOD" TO TEACHERS "To England and back, $23; that sounds mighty good to me." A pretty school teacher of Salt Lake City forgot her rules of grammer when she read yesterday afternoon of the reduced rates to be offered teachers teach-ers who wish to go to England next year to study British school methods. The visit of Alfred Mosely and the English teachers to this country is to be repaid and from 500 to 1000 Americans Ameri-cans engaged in educational work will be gainers. "It is probable that several teachers of this city will take advantage of this offer, although I do not know that any of them has made definite arrangements arrange-ments as yet," said D. II. Christenson, superintendent of schools, vesterday. "Our teachers are- great students and they regard travel as a profitable fea- .ture of study. Many of them go away every summer and frequently some of them go to Europe. This liberal offer is likely to prove attractive to many." |
