Eugene Chrlstensen S.L., Ogden Chambers Vie in Hog Calling Training in Boosting Glories of Intermountain Metropolis Comes in Handy at Event The training of Salt Lake chamber of commerce members In bellowing to the wide world the glories of this great intermountain inter-mountain metropolis came In handy Tueaday. They Indulged In a hog-calling' contest. Their opponents were members of the Ogden chamber of commerce, com-merce, proficient too, In using their lungs for civic boosting. The scene of this history-making Joust waa the annual livestock show at the Ogden coliseum, In the Salt Lake delegation pitted pit-ted against the Ogden callers of pork on the hoof were J. E. Gurr, B. A. Reynolds, A. Eugene Chrlstensen, Chrls-tensen, Ham E. Sanders, Willard Richards. Dllworth S. Woolley, Earl J. Glade and B. F. Redman. The Ogden team Included Heber Scowcroft, A. L. Glasmann, John E. Velton, Gerald Klomp, L. W. Nlma and J. E. Daugherty. Judges were wives of Davis county coun-ty commissioners, Mrs. Alma A. Stoker of Clearfield, Mrs. Fred L. Rampton of Bountiful and Mrs. Chester C. Flint of Kayaville. P. S. and Flash: Salt Lake City won the contest, 422 points to 373. No one seemed to know how the points were awarded. |
