Show Victim Continues Fight for Life Mrs. Helen Mann, 19, of Bountiful, Boun-tiful, continued her fight for life Tuesday in the L. D. S. hospital, unaware that her sister and husband hus-band were killed in the automobile accident which injured her on U. S. highway 91 near Bountiful New Year's morning. Her brother-in-law, John R. Parrish, Par-rish, 23, of Farmington. whose wife. Mrs. Jessie Gool Anderson Parrish, 23, was killed In the accident, acci-dent, was reported in "very poor" condition at St. Mark's hospital. Mrs. I. Westbroek. 1268 East Second South street, and her 3-year-old son, Duane, were in "fairly good" condition. They were injured In the same accident. Mrs. Edmund M. Wetzel, 70, struck by an automobile in the 200 block on East Third South street, Friday was reported in "very poor" condition at the L. D. S. hospital. Ernest E. Nielson, 46, of Hunter, was recovering Tuesday from cuts received Monday at 6:20 p. m. when an automobile driven by his daughter, Alta L. Nielson, 19, collided col-lided Head on with a machine driven driv-en by Gerrlt J. Steenblik, 40, of 519 North Twelfth West street. Thomas Edward Tabor, 24. of Davenport, Iowa, a seaman of the U. S. navy attached to U. S. S. Mississippi, died Tuesday at a Rock Springs, Wyo., hospital of Internal Injuries suffered December 29 in an automobile accident near Rock Springs. Lieutenant Commander T. D. Wilson, officer in charge of the Salt Lake navy recruiting office, said Tabor was en route to San Diego, Cal., after apending his leave with his parents in Davenport. |
