Show WEBER COUNTY 1 CATTLEJCORE Special to The Telegram OGDEN, Jan. t Weber county exhibitors, the men who hav the Ogden livestock show In their own back yard, swept the Jersey cattle winnings Tuesday to conclude contests con-tests among dairy breeds. So far as the major titles were concerned, It was a one-man show, with Harold D. Page of Clearfield mopping up In male and female . classes. Page had the grand champion cow and bull and all major titles - In both sexes with the lone exception excep-tion of the reserve champion cow, . which was shown by Bernard Jones of Pleasant View. Future Farmer of Weber high school. The Judging program swung Into a fast pace as the show management manage-ment set the stage for the first auction sales Tuesday and Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Weston, Roy. , Davis county showed the best county herd, composed of two bulls, four cows and two heifers of various vari-ous ages. Monday, the show lived up to Its reputation of having a Hereford Here-ford cattle section second to none, as nearly 200 animals of the breed competed for placing and a prize purs of $3500. Champion bull of the breed, "Jupiter "Ju-piter Domino, 40th," was shown by the Bar 13 ranch of Sheridan, Wyo. The champion cow, a 2-' 2-' year-old, was entered by the Win-j Win-j terton Brothers of Kamas, Utah, j Champions of the Holsteln dairy ? cattle section wer also found. The , grand champion bull was entered ' by William H. Woodbury of Salt Lake county, "Weber Burke Hazel-wood," Hazel-wood," while the champion female of the breed, was "Mllco Alma Bessie Ormsby," owned by Andrew Nelson of Logan. Prize for the champion ewe and champion ram of the Rambouillet breed, along With the reserve 1 champion ewe, were won by Wynn , 8. Hansen of Colllruton. - The Future Farmer team from Preston, Idaho, with a total of 3818 points, placed first In the livestock live-stock Judging, while Box Elder's T.T.K chapter won In the poultry contests with 1898 points.
