Show German Press Reviews Finland's 'Unfriendly Attitude' Since 1919 BERLIN, Jan 9 (UP Voel-kisrher Voel-kisrher Beobachter, official na.i party newspaper organ, devoted a two-colum article today to a review re-view of Finland's "unfriendly attitude at-titude toward Germany" in the years since 1919. Voelklscher Beobachter said In part: "From year to year tha general sttitude of the Finnish press had become more and more distant from one of friendliness toward Germany. When national socialism came to power In Germany the Finnish press overdid Itself in expressing ex-pressing hate for the third reich." Editorials from Finnish newspapers news-papers were cited, allegedly challenging chal-lenging Germany's disinterestedness disinterested-ness In aiding Finland in its fight for Independence, and calling Germany Ger-many and Italy robber states. Especially, Espe-cially, the newspaper said, the newspaper said, the Swedish language lan-guage press In Finland had "dragged everything Germany did In tha dirt." ''We have no word of bitterness to express. But when the Finns want to hold us responsible for their present fate we must energetically ener-getically remind them that no one but themselves and their English oriented statesmen is to blame," the article ended. Discussing tha reports that Germany Ger-many was holding up Italian arms shipments, a private nasi Informant Inform-ant said that Germany reserved the right to halt any shipment of arms across its territory. |
