Show Flight Training Class May Enroll 100 Pupils Course for Noncollege Youths to Start Monday at West High School A class of 100 students is expected for the flight training course to be given for noncollege youths beginning Monday at 7:30 p. m. A. G. Boonstra, In charge of applications, ap-plications, said the class will be conducted In the West high school Instead of at the University of Utah, as previously announced. Present at the first class will be C F. Lienesch of Santa Monica, Cal, western division representative representa-tive of the C A A, which Is conducting con-ducting the course under local sponsorship of the Junior chamber cham-ber of commerce. Mr. Boonstra said decision to transfer the class to the West high school was reached at a conference con-ference between himself, Dr. Ir-vin Ir-vin S. Noall, superintendent of vocational education for the Salt Lake board of education; Earls F. Gardemann, board of education coordinator; co-ordinator; W. E. Dewey, board official, offi-cial, and Walter L. Roche, chairman chair-man ot the Salt Lake chamber of commerce aviation committee. The flight training program will be given In conjunction with the adult training program of the board of education, according to Ralph V. Backman, principal of the adult night school. All youths who have filled out applications for the class and there were 65 Thursday must register at the Union building of the West high school any time from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Friday, 9 a. m. to noon Saturday, and 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. Monday. |
