Show British Will Discuss Lcmg Held Chinese Coin CHUNGKING, Jan. 4 (At Sir Archibald Kerr Clark Kerr. British Brit-ish ambassador, arrived In China's provisional capital today on what soma quarters said was a visit to discuss disposal of 800,000 (3,-200.000) (3,-200.000) in Chinese silver held in banks In the Japanese blockaded British concession of Tientsin. The silver was originally destined des-tined for north China flood relief. After Japan's north China conquest, con-quest, Japan sought the surrender of the funds to the north China federal fed-eral reserve bank. The British refused re-fused to surrender the money and It -became one of the issue which resulted in the Japanese blockade Imposed last June on the British and French concessions In Tientsin, a blockade which still Is maintained. |
