Wilburs admitted a reckless driving driv-ing charge after his arrest in the 2200 block on South State (100 East) street by David L. Price, South Salt Lake town marshal. Lester J. Stokes of Roy admitted admit-ted speeding 58 miles an hour In 40-mlle sons and was fined $10, with $5 suspended. He was arrested ar-rested by Raymond J. Barton, state highway patrolman. Pleading guilty, Don Lavender, 1.144 Fourth East street. Salt Lake City, was fined $5 for speeding 45 miles an hour in a 35-mlle ion. George C. Reese, 3070 South 700 East street, was fined $3 for running run-ning a stop sign. A summons was Issued by Justice Jus-tice of the Pesos Arthur B. Brlng-hurst Brlng-hurst for W. B. Fox, 50 Esst 2100 South street, on a charge of reckless reck-less driving. Ths complaint wss signed by Leonard Anderson, who alleged that Fox backed his car Into one driven by Mr. Anderson. Warrants were Issued for three motorists who failed to appear after heine lii.l tlrlt.l. fr .1. leged traffic law violations. They will each face an additional charge of failure to appear. The driven and the original chargea are: L. B. Pead, 360 Hollywood Holly-wood avenue. Salt Lake City, charged with failure to yield the light of way; Joseph Hodges, Logan, Lo-gan, charged with speeding SO miles an hour In a 40-mlle zone, and Russell Nlelson, Holladay, charged with running a stop sign. Plesding guilty to speeding 74 miles so hour In a 40-mile sone, Malcolm F. Orr. Magna, was sentenced sen-tenced to pay $25 or spend 10 days In the county Jail. He was granted a slsy of execution until January Janu-ary 15. Orr was arrested In the 3300 block on 1700 West street (Redwood (Red-wood road) by Peter VanOtten, stats highwaty patrolman, after a chase. Patrolman VanOtten said: 'The car driven by Orr waa pulling pull-ing away from my car when I had the gas to the floor board, but Orr stopped for a traffic light." |
