Show Tower Has Filming Of Curwood Story "God's Country and the Woman." picturixation of the James Oliver Curwood novel of the same name, dealing with a feud between lumber companies in the forests of the northwest, heads the current program pro-gram at the Tower theater. 'The Big Broadcast of 137" is being shown aa the second feature. In "God's Country and ths Woman," Wo-man," George Brent ia seen as a rich idler who makes a visit to his brother's vast tract of timber, where he is attempting by crooked methods meth-ods to injurs a business nival Brent joina the fight but on the other side. He teams with Beverly Roberts, Rob-erts, manager of the other company, com-pany, and after many thrilling scenes they manage to overcome Brent's brother, and at the same time declare their love for each other. A musical comedy, "The Big Broadcast of 1037," features a cast which includes Jack Benny, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Bob Burns, Martha Raye, Eleanor Whitney, Benny Goodman and his orchestra, Shirley Ross, Ray Milland, Benny Fields and Louis DaPron. |
