Show HOLDUP CONFESSION REPORTEDLY POLICE Police claimed their case against Carl Blair, 21, and Paul Downs, 21, charged with the $30 robbery June 21 of the Paramount theater, was rounding out Monday aa Downs allegedly confessed the roles of both in the crime. Blair, however, continued silent, saying, according to the detective!. "I'd only incriminate myself." Downe loaned Blair a coat and hat, according to the reported re-ported confession, knowing that Blair was going to commit a robbery, rob-bery, but without knowing where. Blair did not have a gun during the robbery, Downa assertedly told Mr. Kinney. Tha coat and hat were hidden on Richards street after the robbery and recovered the next day, tha ac- count continues, when the two as-sertedly as-sertedly spent the money obtained in tha atickup. City officers prepared to remove Downa and Blair to the county jail. |
