Show DISTRICT GETS WATERSHARES Transfer Voted by Commission Salt Lake City commissioners Tuesday transferred four shares of capital stock in the Provo River Water Users' association, created to facilitate construction of the Deer Creek dam, to the metropolitan water district of Salt Lake City. Action was taken in accordance with recommendations of City Attorney At-torney Fisher Harris, who is also attorney for the water district His letter stated In part: "Stock in the association Issued in the names of four city officials was secured by them as agents for the city and in the expectation that when the metropolitan water district dis-trict was ultimately formed It would take over the stock. The district is now organized and desires to hsve the stock transferred. I recommend passage of a resolution which will have that effect" Commissioner George D. Keyser sponsored the resolution and all other members of the commission voted unanimously in favor. |
