Now, I hadn't th slightest Intention Inten-tion to be As surly, uncivil and hateful as be: But that was the trick that he played upon me. Another chap cam to my doorstep door-step that day. And a twinkle he had in his eye. With a smile on hU face, he began in a way That prompted a gentle reply. Though a stranger h was, I was eager to be As gracious, good-natured and kindly as he. And that was th trick that he played upon m. Sine those visits, Fve thought in this life that we live. And the lesson seams aimpl to learn, W get back a smile for th smile that w giv. And a frown brings a frown in " return.
