Show U. S. Congressmen to Hold School Hearing in S. L. Public school problems arising from expanded facilities to accommodate accom-modate children of families occupying oc-cupying untaxed federal housing projects will be amonf those aired by Utah educators when they testify Friday and Saturday before a congressional committee. Dr. E. Allen Bat em an. state superintendent su-perintendent of public Instruction. said Monday that Parley A. Bates, Weber county school superintendent; superintend-ent; Elmer J. Hartvigsen, Davis county school superintendent, and Sterling Harris, Tooele county school superintendent, have been asked to testify. Public school officials from Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico have also been summoned sum-moned to the Salt Lake City hearing hear-ing to be held at the governor's board room, state capltol. Among the congressmen expected ex-pected to be In attendance are Rep. Tom 8teed (D.. Okla.), Rep. Richard Rich-ard M. Nixon (R., Cel.), and Rep. Leonard Irving (D., Mo.), |
