Show DRIVER BROUGHT IN ON BENCH WARRANT After allegedly having left the city while a drunken driving charge was pending against him In police court, O. P. Pearce, 30, of Beaver, was brought into court on a bench warrant war-rant Thursday to face trial. Complaint was signed against Pearce after he allegedly drove past a red light at Ninth South and Main streets on October 13, 1932, and continued con-tinued on the wrong side of the highway, high-way, to Thirteenth South street where he was arrested by officers who reported he was intoxicated. After pleading not guilty, he went to Beaver, officers said. Appearing Thursday, he was ordered to return for trial on Monday. Two other accused drunken drivers who previously had denied the charges, reversed their pleaa and pleaded guilty Thursday. They were Lewis Lashaway, 27, of 961 Fourth East street arrested last November 23 after his automobile allegedly track and damaged a aafety tone at Main street and Broadway, and Art Melquist 23, of S70 South Eighth West street arrested after an accident at Fifth South and Eleventh East streets on last December 10. |
