Show SPRING NOT YETHERE Government Weather Man Says It Will Be Tardy InArrMnir. The weather bureau records for the first days of March show that the winter win-ter is a late one, and that spring has not yet made Its appearance. The mean temperature for the month has been 33 degrees, which Is degrees below normal. The minimum temperature tempera-ture was 14 degrees, which Is one of the lowest temperatures recorded for March In the history of the bureau. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees, de-grees, which was recorded yesterday. . The thermometer la higher again today, to-day, but that fact does not signify, the arrival of spring." In fact, there are no indications that spring is at hand. In years past the trees have commenced com-menced to bud In March, but from the records of the weather bureau It is evident evi-dent that spring as a rule does not open until April. Section Director Murdoch said this morning that all conditions pointed to a tardy spring. |
