Show WILMS IS PARALYZED Owner of Washington Post Stricken While at the Waldorf-Astoria. NEW YORK,, March 11. Berlah Wll-klns, Wll-klns, owner of the Washington Post, has been stricken with paralysis In the Waldorf-Astoria. He was unconscious late last night and unable to recognise the members of his family who had been summoned to this city. The attending physicians said the life of Mr. Wllklns was trembling in the balance. .Although they hoped he might recover, they admitted that the patient might pass away at any moment. The physician attending Mr. Wllklns today said his condition was very irregular, ir-regular, his left side being completely paralysed and his temperature being less favorable today. He said that Mr. Wllklns' case was aggravated by a kidney kid-ney trouble. His age was also against him. Mr. Wllklns was a Representative In Congress from Ohio fifteen years ago. With Frank Hatton, former Postmaster-General, he acquired possession of the Washington Poet about 1890. Mr. Wllklns returned from abroad a month ago. He has been In ill-health for several weeks. Mr. Wllklns is 67 years old. He was born In Ohio and was formerly a banker in Uhrichsvtlle, that State. He was an Ohio State Senator Sen-ator in 1879. |
