NEW YORK, March 1L Six strange deaths at sea aboard the Anchor Line steamer Karamania, from Marseilles, Palermo and Naples which caused that vessel to be detained at ' quarantine yesterday have been decided by Health Officer Doty, - after examination, to possess symptoms so similar to those of cholera that the ship will be thoroughly disinfected and Its 733 passengers and the crew sent to Hoffman's Hoff-man's Island to remain there until the health officers positively know that til I am ' positive that they are free from infection.
