WASHINGTON, March 1L Acting Secretary Sec-retary LoomlS has invited the diplomatic representatives in Washington of every Central and South American country to meet at the State department today to discuss the Inter-continental railroad project. In conformity with the recommendations recom-mendations of last year's pan-American congress. Ex-Senator Henry G. Davis, who was one of the American delegates to the congress, and who has given special spe-cial attention to this vast railroad project, will explain the matter to the Ministers. The reports on the enterprise show that up to date 6500 miles of the 10,000 miles of railroad required have already been built. |
