Show tzz :savy DAMAGES Two Suits, Aggregating: $301,0ll0, Filed Against the Southern Pacific Two suits, aggregating $301,400 were filed agast the Southern Pacific company com-pany JA the Federal court Friday afternoon. after-noon. They are the outgrowth of. the explosion of a car containing fifty or more tons of giant powder and dynamite dyna-mite at Jackson station, Utah, February Febru-ary 19, 1304. The suits were filed by Mrs. Edna Taylor,, formerly telegraph operator at the sTatlon, and her husband, 'William A. Taylor. The couple allege that they lived in the depot building, under. an agreement with the railroad company, and that as a result of the explosion Mrs. Taylor lost the sight of her left eye, and the sight of the right is so seriously, seri-ously, impaired that she cannot obtain employment as an operator. She asks for total damages of $100,200. William Taylor makes similar allegations allega-tions In his complaint with the exception excep-tion of the Impaired sight, and he alleges al-leges that his sight was injured for some timet Mr. Taylor asks for total damages of $201,200. |
