Show WESTERN RIDERS ARE SURPRISING THE EAST The New York papers seem to be considerably con-siderably surprised at the work of Pedlar Ped-lar Palmer and Emil Agraz, who have been training at Manhattan Beach track for the six-day race. From all accounts the boys are riding strong and fast, and seem to have surprised the Eastern cracks by their form. It is likely- that some of the Salt Lake contingent will surprise the talent much more before the race " is over. People in the East seem to think that there is no racing in this country except ex-cept what comes off at Vallsburg. They are greatly mistaken, however, as the records show that the Salt Lake public " has had as good and fast racing at the Salt Palace track as is shown any place In the country. The New York American remarks especially the work of Palmer and Agras, which will rejoice re-joice their many friends here.
