Show "FUTURE ,MEN CLUB" IS A NOVEL FEATURE F. J. Lucas, superintendent of the First Baptist church Sunday-school, some time ago organized a boys club under the caption, "Future Men club," and appropriately fitted up the upstairs rooms over the church annex for the purpose of carrying out excellent plans, all of which have proven a decided success. suc-cess. A large room has been arranged for the assembly hall, where all business Is transacted by the boys In regular parliamentary par-liamentary fashion. Three rooms have been set aside and equipped with various vari-ous parlor games, such as table croquet, etc. In the fourth room can be found a kitchen with all its utensils. The boys meet each Friday night. Two meetings each month are given up to business of a formal nature, debates, etc, while the remaining Friday evenings even-ings are set aside for appeasing youthful youth-ful appetites, playing of games, etc. Last Friday evening sixty-three Jolly, romping; ambitious, fun seeing young Americans were present. Friday night the Future Men club will give a muslcale aftd debate in the auditorium audi-torium of the church, to which the public pub-lic Is cordially Invited. The subject for discussion Is, "Resolved, That paper Is more useful to mankind than wood." |
