Show (Paragraphs Or Interest . . j Mr. and Mrs. Mark Chipman and children of Royal, Utah, spent the week-end at the home of Mrs. Chipman's mother, Mrs. Eva Barlow. Bar-low. Mr. Chipman is chief mine clerk at the Royal mine. They also attended the B. Y. U. and "U" game. Robert Gourley of New Mexico, now employed in Salt Lake City, was a guest Monday of Eldean Weight, with whom he became acquainted ac-quainted while serving in the air corps, and Mrs. Weight, also El-dean's El-dean's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weight and family. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Henrichseri and children of Pocatello, Idaho, spent the week-end with relatives and friends here and in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Henrichsen are former ' residents of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington were the dinner guests on Sunday of Mrs. Belle W. Childs at her home here, 'i - Oran Nielson, son of J. C. Nielson, Niel-son, has returned home from the Navy, after receiving honorable release. He has served approximately approxi-mately three years, much of the time on the east coast. Oran called at the Herald office to express ex-press his thanks for the hometown home-town paper, which has been going to him during the past three years through courtesy of Ralph Child and the Art City Publishing Co. Rex Roylance, employed with Safeways at Cedar City, visited over the week-end with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and, Mrs. George Roylance. Roy-lance. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clark have received word of the birth of a baby daughter, born to Lt. and Mrs. Henry Bierbaum of Riverside, Calif., on Feb. 3. Mrs. Bierbaum is the former Mary Ann Kohl, a daughter-in-law of the Clarks, whose first husband lost his life in World War II, Mrs. Paul Miner has returned to Springville from "Bakersfield, Calif., for a few days visit with relatives and friends. - Mr. and Mrs. Grant Roylance and daughter of Hazleton, Idaho, are spending this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fin-ley, Fin-ley, coming especially to see Mrs. Finley, who has been ill the past three weeks. Mrs. Marcella J. Tuttle went to San Francisco, Calif., last week to meet her husband, Dale Tuttle, who has received his discharge from the Navy. They returned to Springville on Sunday. Mrs. Clarence L. Jensen t recently recent-ly spent two weks with a sister, Mrs. Elme Humphreys and family, at Sparks, Nev. Herbert Williams, together with Dick Shelton of Spanish Fork, spent the week-end in Las Vegas, returning Monday. ' . Mr. and Mrs. Newell Weight and family returned to. St. George after visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weight and other relatives and friends here. Mr. Weight came especially to attend a musical musi-cal convention at the B. Y. U.. Mr. and Mrs. Cleyo Karraus and family, of Jackson, Wyo., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rich-in Rich-in at the Federal Hatchery Sunday, Sun-day, enroute to California. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butler, of Murray, visited-at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Butler the past week. Frank is recovering from a recent major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen had as their dinner guests Sunday, their daughter, Miss Lois Hansen, who is teaching in the Salina high school; also Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Heath of Salina. Dan Payne, son of Ed. Payne, has returned from the Utah Valley Val-ley hospital, and is convalescing from serious injuries received in an automobile accident recently. Mrs. A. G. Thorn of Salt Lake City, formerly of Springville, visited a few days of the past week at the Ed. Payne residence. Jesse Brown came from Jensen, Utah, the past week to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. S. Brown, and other relatives and friends here. |
