Show OFFICIALS MET HERE TUESDAY 0N0RDINANCES ' Salt Lake Firm Offers To Revise City Ordinances At Savings Representatives from practically all of the cities in Utah county met in Springville Tuesday evening, even-ing, to continue discussion on the revision of the city ordinances, according ac-cording to a report Wednesday, by Mayor Sterling Price. A representative from a law firm in Salt Lake City met with the group and made an offer to do the revision at a saving of about one-fifth of what the job would normally cost. An official from the municipal league in Salt Lake City was also at the meeting urging that the revision be done as soon as possible pos-sible and he further offered his assistance and that of the league, at league expense. Attorney Kessler of Salt Lake City attended the meeting together to-gether with City Attorney Wentz of Orem, a councilman from Pleasant Grove, Mayor Greenwood of American Fork, Councilman Mendenhall of Payson, Mayor Tew j and Councilrnan Reese Anderson of Mapleton. Most of the cities in the county plan to have their ordinances revised re-vised and will make them as uniform uni-form as possible, it was pointed out at the meeting. Lehi made a revision of their ordinances last year. The Springville mayor and councilmen also met with the county commissioners this week in regard to improvement of county roads adjacent to Springville Spring-ville city and the mayor points out that already improvements on these roads have been started. He commends the work being done by the county on Ninth South which has been graveled. Also on the lane east of Brookside on which gravel has been' placed. Further improvements are planned in the immediate future by the county, on the north limits of the city, he stated. |
