Show HE IS MAXWELL. Judge Dusenberry Identifies Hun Beyond Question. (TRIBUNE SPECIAL.) Provo, May 28 It is now established estab-lished beyond all probability of a doubt that the living Springville bank robber is no other than I. Maxwell of the Robbers' Roost band, and for whom the Governor has offered a large reward, Judge Dusenberry, who saw him in jail here tonight, said in an interview: "Yes, it is Maxwell. I met him at Vernal in February, 1897, where he was an important witness in the Rasmussen grand larceny case. He recognized me tonight, and I would have known him a half block away." Judge Dusenberry ""and the prisoner conversed freely on their old acquaintance, and Maxwell seemed in a happy mood. His salutation salu-tation in loud tones, was: "Hello, Judge Dusenberry?" "How are you, Maxwell?" replied re-plied the Judge. "Well, said the bandit, "I am not in very good condition now, as you see." Charles Taylor, formerly superintendent super-intendent . of the Price Trading company, knew Maxwell well when he was in that locality. He also recognized the robber, and talked with him. There is a rumor here to the effect that the dead robber is Jack Moore, a notorious character wanted in Grand Junction, Colo. |
