Show (Paragraphs Ot Interest . . Mrs. Hendrick Verseleuis and children returned to their home in Springville recently after a few weeks' visit with relatives at Tre-monton. Tre-monton. Dr. Verseleuis is now in Japan doing research work. Mrs. Naomi S. Gardner and two daughters returned on Saturday of the past week to their home in Hollister, Calif., following a two week's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Sumsion. Mrs. Sumsion is now able to be around, having been recently released from a Salt Lake hospital, where she was confined shortly after the holidays holi-days as a result of an automobile accident. B. F. Thorpe of Springville, salesman in the W. A. Crowder Salt Lake City agency of the Bankers Life Insurance Company of Des Moines, has won nationwide recognition as a member of the quarter-million dollar honor volume vol-ume club for 1947 as a result of his excellent production record last year. Mrs. Lorraine Beach and Mrs. Marta Czirr spent Sunday in Salt Lake City, where they visited Mrs. Beach's 5-year-old daughter Patricia, who has been confined at the Shriner's hospital at St. Marks, Salt Lake City, receiving treatment for infantile paralysis, since last September. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer have returned from an enjoyable vacation vaca-tion trip to Arizona and Mexico, spending some time at Mesa, where they visited the temple and motoring across the border into Mexico. They also stopped for a time at St. George to visit the temple there. Miss Jane Cherrington, attending attend-ing the USAC, Logan, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington. Mrs. Eunice 'McKenzie is confined con-fined to St. Mark's hospital, Salt Lake City, where she recently un- derwent a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. A." W. Cherrington spent the past week in Idaho, visiting visit-ing their son, Jack Cherrington and family at Preston, and with Mre. Cherrington's sister, Mrs. G. F. Thomas and other relatives at Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they also visited the temple. Mrs. Stella Wixom and Mrs. Lee-lyn Lee-lyn Bjarnson have returned from an enjoyable visit with their sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Delia Johnson, in Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Maude Benedict Bene-dict at Ogden. Miss Teressa Sumsion, accompanied accom-panied by Miss June Thomas, came from Logan where they are attending at-tending the A, C, to attend the game and visit during the weekend week-end with Miss Sumsion's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Sumsion. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Alleman and Grant Alleman, of Salt Lake City, visited Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman. Mr. Alleman is convalescing from a recent illness and is happy to receive re-ceive his many friends. Mr. and Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson Ander-son returned Sunday evening from Chicago and Detroit, where they attended a Ford Motor Sales convention. con-vention. On Thursday evening prior to their departure, they were guests of Walker Williams, general sales manager for Ford Motor Co., former branch manager in Salt Lake City. Patricia Stone from Fort Wayne, Ind., is the house guest of Mrs. Ellen Anderson, visiting indefinitely. indefin-itely. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Klauck spent the week-end with relatives and friends in Salt Lake City, and attended at-tended the state D. S. A. banquet Saturday evening in Salt Lake. ' Mrs. May Bird came from Salt Lake City to visit relatives ana friends here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Anderson and son Michael, of Brookside, spent the week-end with relatives and friends in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Hasting Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Child attended the Utah-Juab Firemen convention at Eureka on Sunday, representing the local fire department. The next meeting of the county organ- ization is scheduled at Mammoth in April. |
