Show GRANT MADE TO IMPROVE UTAH STATE PRISON Utah board of examiners have appropriated $500,000 for construction con-struction work on the new state prison at point of the mountain. The money came from the state building fund and was authorized by the board in the largest such removal in the fund's short history, his-tory, it was reported. The board also authorized $20,-000 $20,-000 expenditure for a building for the adult blind school in Salt Lake. Warden John E. Harris said that the money authorized would permit per-mit enough construction on the new building, to allow transfer of the prisoners to the site from the old 21st South st. prison.
