' At the conclusion of the program, pro-gram, a nicely arranged luncheon was served by the 'hostess, assisted assist-ed by her daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Miller. ALPHA BETA CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS An interesting program in connection con-nection with election of officers was conducted by the Alpha Beta club Friday afternoon at a meeting meet-ing at the home of Mrs. M. R-Straw. R-Straw. Mrs. F. C. Packard gave a paper pap-er entitled, "The Story of Our American Patriotic Songs," and in connection with the paper a quartet quar-tet from the club, composed of Mrs. W. W. Brockbank, Mrs. Emil Ostlund, Mrs. W. W. Clyde and Mrs. Kenneth Condie, sang several patriotic songs, accompanied by Mrs. Maurice Bird at the piano. Mrs. Bird also gave piano selections, selec-tions, and Diane Miller gave readings. read-ings. During the meeting Mrs. W. W. Clyde was elected president of the club with Mrs. H. M. Weight, vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. Lillian Huntington, secretary; Mrs. Erwin Sheffield, treasurer; Mrs. Earl Condie, cor- |
