Show D. D. CRANDALL SERVICES HELD SUNDAY Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Sunday afternoon in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel, for Delos D. Crandall, 86, pioneer resident of Springville, who died Thursday evening following a long illness. Born in Sprir.sjville, November 14, 1857, he was "a- son pf: Myron and Tryphena Bisby Crandall, who were members of the first company com-pany who settled in Springville. He had always been active in L. D. S. church work, and during his early married life, did coloni. zation work for the church in New Mexico and Colorado. For a number num-ber of years, he operated a sawmill saw-mill at Huntington and just prior to his last illness, he had a sawmill saw-mill in Old Mexico. He married Sarah Anna West in 1885 at Huntington. She died in 1903, and he later married Mrs. Zina Hjorth Crandall. Survivors include eight sons and daughters, Mrs. Nellie Burt and E. T. Crandall, Springville; Ernest D. Crandall, Long Beach, Cal., Horace Crandall, New Plymouth, Ply-mouth, Ida., Mrs. Bessie Harrop, Ogden, by the first marriage; Mrs. Edith Merrill and Mrs. Ethel Rothwell of Arco, Ida., and Mrs. Eva Robertson, New York City, N. Y. by the second marriage; mar-riage; also four stepsons and daughters, Mrs. Fern Williams and Clifford Crandall, Springville; Martie Crandall, Twin Falls, Ida.; Lee Crandall, Jerome, Ida., and a brother, John Crandall, Spring-1 ville. |
