Show CHURCH EVENTS: Notices of church meetings, including M. I. A. and others, and those of the Presbyterian-Community Presbyterian-Community church, will be published each week hereafter here-after in this column. Officers in charge of the various meetings meet-ings and activities, are urged to report them to the Herald each week. First Ward ... Services ... Fast meeting will be held Sunday Sun-day at 11:30 a. m., according to announcement by Bishop Howard Maycock. Sunday evening service will feature.1 fea-ture.1 a program presented by the seminary students, under direction of William T. Tew. ' , The Monday evening genealogy meeting is scheduled for 8 p. m., instead of 7:30 o'clock. Second Ward . . . Reunion; One of the most successful reunions re-unions of the Second ward was held last Thursday evening with a large crowd of ward members in attendance. Lovely decorations suggestive of St. Patrick's Day and Spring were used to decorate the tables from which a nicely arranged lunch was served. Following lunch, a program pro-gram was given and dancing concluded con-cluded the entertainment. Third Ward ... Sunday Evening Meeting; An excellent program, featuring a talk by Maurice Anderson, former for-mer missionary, will be given in the Third ward Sunday evening meeting, under direction of the ward bishopric. An invitation is extended to all members of the ward to attend. Fourth Ward . . . Sunday evening services at the Fourth ward meeting will consist of the Primary Conference, in charge of the children of that organization. or-ganization. The theme will be "Sermons In Songs." Fifth Ward ... Services . . . Fast meeting will convene at 11:30 a. m., Sunday, March 26, instead of the following Sunday, due to quarterly conference next week, announces Bishop J. Y. Bearnson. The meeting Sunday evening will be Primary conference under direction of Mrs. Mildred Stevens and will begin at 6 p. m. It will be in the form of a pageant directed di-rected by Mrs. Thelma Beardall, and an invitation is extended to all members of the ward to be present. M. I. A. The Fifth ward M. I. A. will conduct a social in the Second ward hall Monday evening, March 27, beginning at 8 p. m. There will be a fine program followed by a dance and refreshments. Music will be furnished by George Hawkins' orchestra and everyone every-one is invited to attend. Pres. Community . . . Regular services. 10:30 a. m. Sunday School 11:30 a. m. Preaching Service Wednesday Evening Young People's meeting, followed by a choir rehearsal. Friday evening The elders and trustees of the church will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. TenEyck. |
