Show LOCAL RESIDENT DIED TUESDAY IN CALIFORNIA C. O. Law, retired farmer of Springville and Mapleton, died in Brentwood, Calif., Tuesday, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Signa Pederson, with whom he had spent the winter. Mr. Law suffered a stroke several sev-eral days ago, resulting in paralysis par-alysis of his side and from this he did not recover. He was born in Springville, November No-vember 30, 1858, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Bocock Law, and lived in this city most of his life. In 1911, the family moved to Mapleton. Ma-pleton. Since the death of his wife, however, he had made his home much of the time with his children. He married Signa Wing, January Jan-uary 24, 1885, in Springville, and in December, 1892, they received their endowments in the temple. tem-ple. Mrs. Law died May 25, 1940. Mr. Law has always been active ac-tive in church work and at the time of death, held the position of high priest. He is survived by four sons and four daughters: Mark A. Law, Springville; Ray E. Law, Ogden; Kenneth Law, Pocatello, Idaho; Hugh Law, Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Ernest Sheen, Provo; Mrs. Alfred Pederson, Brentwood, California; Mrs. Alta Clyde, Hamilton, Mont.; Mrs. Ada Reichert, Pocatello, Idaho; also 52 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; three half-brothers and a half-sister, George, Ralph, and Amelia Weight, Springville; C 1 a u de Weight, Provo. The body will be sent to Springville Spring-ville for funeral services and burial, the time to be announced later. |
