Show Red Devils Open Cage Season Here Sat. Against Hurricane Coach Paul Wilson and his Springville Red Devils will open the 1951-52 basketball season here Saturday-night, Saturday-night, Dec. 1, against the touted Hurricane quintet. The game will begin at 8 p.m. . Hurricane, has a talented group of fellows on their squad this year and if the results of their football season can be carried over into their hoop warfare, they should be j a strong team. Big loop holo in the Springville team via graduation is a man to ! work the bankboards in place of Glen Weight. The Devils have several sev-eral prospective men for this important im-portant assignment but whether they work out satisfactorily re- j mains to be seen. Stacked with plenty of talent, the big question in the minds of j sport followers is whether they will use it most advantageously. Coach Wilson has hardly had time to round out a working five but will probably rely on Alma Jensen, Jen-sen, Glade Binks, Ronald Mackley, John Gustin and Doug Smoot to carry the brunt of the playing. Theso five players have been playing together since they were Freshmen and had much experience exper-ience last year as regulars. Saturday's Sat-urday's test will give Mentor Wilson Wil-son an opportunity to see how his club reacts under fire. Principal Paul K. Walker of the high school announces that season tickets will be on sale today and tomorrow, .Nov. 30, for home games and that after that date they will be sold at the door during dur-ing the games. |
