Show Local Missionary Named District President; Sends Thanks For Paper Word has been received from Elder Clyde A. Christensen in the Hawaiian Islands that he has been narr.C'J the District President on the Island of Molokai. There are five branches of the church under his supervision at the present time, all very active and doinsr a good work. He further states that he and his companion are very busy and find no time to be idle. The monthly report which is sent out from tho mission office showed that the District of Molokai led in cottage meetings, Books of Mormon Mor-mon sold and visiting investigators. investiga-tors. They have also been actively engaged in making reports and going back into tho records 60 years, searching out the ordinations ordina-tions and baptisms. It has been required re-quired of the District Presidents to follow this work, that the records rec-ords from this section may be complete and Elder Christensen states now they are all in good order or-der and that it has be-en a fine lesson and good experience to have been able to perform this important im-portant work. He is enjoying his labors very much ifnd hopes to overcome all difficulties that may arise. He wishes to say "Mahala," meaning "Thank You," for the many friends who have remembered remem-bered him in Hawaii and for the cards and letters he has received. "And when I receive the Spring'-vile Spring'-vile Herald," he says, "it is always a source of pleasure, and takes me right back home for an hour. Again, I wish to say Mahala to you all. May the Lord bless us in all our righteous endeavors." |
