Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Mrs. E. 0. Best Relatives - and friends assembled assem-bled at the Fifth - Sixth ward chapel Wednesday, to pay final respects res-pects to the life of Mrs. Ettie Irene S. Best, 73, wife of E. O. Best, who died Saturday evening, following a long illness. Burial was in the Salt Lake City cemetery. Mrs. Best was born June 2, 1878 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of r ' :i " " j n . V I ''''' 'y7 'I . Mrs. E. O. Best James and Elizabeth Swanner Strong. She attended schools in Salt Lake and later was employed in the Strong Brothers store in that city. She was married to Mr. Best June 14, 1900, in the Salt Lake Temple. They first made their home in Salt Lake, where hfer husband hus-band ' was employed as a mail carrier and later they operated a grocery store business. In 1917, they moved to Springville, where they have since resided. Throughout her life, Mrs. Best had been active in LDS church work, serving as a Relief Society teacher and while in Salt Lake City, she was a member of the Tenth ward choir. She had also done considerable temple work. She is survived by her husband and nine of eleven sons and daughters. daugh-ters. They are: Richard S. Best of Ogden; Edgar S. Best, Springville; Mrs Robert (Lucille) Booke, Joseph Jos-eph and Paul Best of Provo; Mrs. Newell (Evelyn) Walker, Mrs. Frank (Relia) Wyss, Mrs. Marlin (Mary) Strong, Mrs. Andrew A. (Margaret) Easton all of Salt Lake City There are also 26 grandchildren grandchild-ren and two brothers, Ernest Strong and Alvin C. Strong of Salt Lake City. |
