Show Funeral Services Held Sunday for Mrs. Matilda Smith Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Second-Eighth Second-Eighth ward chapel for Mrs. Matilda Mat-ilda Stoker Smith, 77, of this city, who died Wednesday of last week at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Milo Richardson in Bountiful after a lingering illness; Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under the direction of A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. Mrs. Smith was born in Spanish Fork, September 3, 1874, a daughter daugh-ter of William and Emily Tegersen Stoker, early Utah pioneers. She received her education in the Spanish Fork schools and was married mar-ried to Andrew R. Smith in 1892 at Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the 'Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Smith died October 10, 1900. She was a member of the LDS Second ward at the time of her death. Survivors include four daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Richardson (Ida) Bountiful; Boun-tiful; Ada, Elda and Lola Smith of Springville; three grandchildren grandchild-ren and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. A. Y. (Dorothy) Wheeler, Springville; a brother, Joseph Stoker of Spanish Fork. |
