Show Missionary Writes Appreciation For Herald; Laboring In Ontario, Can. the people there were very indifferent indif-ferent to the message we had for them. I have also labored in the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec, it being be-ing one of the two cities that we have been able to place missionar-aries missionar-aries in, the Province of Quebec, because of the strong hold that the Catholic church has on the province. The biggest barrier we had there was that 85 of the people spoke only French. Also we found a lot of indifference, as we do all over this mission. We, as well as all the rest of the missions, are feeling the loss of missionaries. As a result of this loss of missionaries, we find that we not only have to do the work in the city we are living in, but one or two days a week travel to other cities to take ,care of work left when missionaries were pulled out of that city. Dear Mr. Conover and Staff: The time is surely passing by fast and I feel quite ashamed of myself that I haven't written to you sooner than this to thank you for sending me the Springville Herald. I have enjoyed the paper very much these past thirteen months that I have been here in the mission field. I do want to thank every one for the efforts that make the paper so wonderful. I do read it thoroughly each week. It is wonderful to be able to keep up on the home-town news. I am also writing this letter to inform you of my new address, as I have been transferred from the city of Ottawa to the city of Woodstock, Canada. I certainly have enjoyed my labors here in the Canadian mission so far. The country here is very beautiful, but in an entirely different way than back home. Before coming here to Woodstock Wood-stock I had the opportunity of laboring in Ottawa, the capitol city of Canada. The city itself being a very beautiful city, but |
