Independence Bond' Drive Set May 15 Residents' of Utah county, will be asked to buy $120,000 worth of United States Savings bonds, Series "E", during the Independence Indepen-dence Drive to be held from May 15 to July 4, it was announced this week by H. J. Heisch, chairman chair-man for the county. It compares with a quota of $200,000 in 1949. j The announcement was made of. the local quota at a statewide meeeing of county chairmen held at the Hotel Utah on Wednesday, April 19, when the state quota of $2,316,000 was broken down into county quotas. The state goal compares com-pares with $3,500,000 in the Opportunity Op-portunity Drive of 1949; however, the 1950 drive is six weeks shorter short-er than last year, so the tempo of sales will have to be just as high as last year if the quota is reached.
