Show Pasture Bids Let; Other Business Completed By City Bids on the five city pastures were opened and awarded at the council meeting Monday evening. No. 1, which includes the Northeast North-east pasture went to Ray Skinner Skin-ner of the Intermountain Rodeo Association whose high bid was $641. Frank Averett bid high with $357 for No. 2 pasture including the Northwest area. No. 3, the Southwest pasture, went to Frank Morgan who bid $551; No. 4, the north one-half of the Southeast pasture went to Ralph Phillips for $350; No 5, to Clifford Crandalll who bid $410 for the south one-half one-half of the. Southeast pasture. There were 12 or 13 bids in all sent in, city officials reported. Cemetery Locked It was also decided at the council coun-cil meeting to lock the gates to each of the cemeteries after the caretakers leave at night in an effort to keep prowlers and park-ers park-ers from the cemeteries. The cemeteries cem-eteries will, however, be open on Sundays and all week days during dur-ing the daytime. Recreation Park Work is progressing on the city recreation park east of the Grant School, it was also reported at the council meeting with the area being leveled ready for the installation in-stallation of a sprinkling system and lawn. The city sewer system is being extended in one or two places in town and several new home connections con-nections are being made. It is also announced that Councilman Fullmer Full-mer will soon make a survey of the sewer system to bring existing exist-ing records regarding sewer connections, con-nections, up to date. Ordinances Four ordinances pertaining to the board of health, the cemeteries, cemeter-ies, sewer department and ,city licenses were gone over and revised re-vised and are being printed in full in the Herald today. Townspeople Towns-people are urged to read the ordinances or-dinances as they are printed and thereby become better acquainted with these rules and regulations. |
