Savllle sans selections from the operas, "Mlsrnon" and "Thais": Mrs. Royal Kecles played the intermezzo from "Cavallerla Rusticana," and Miss Mary Fisher played the "Meditation" "Medi-tation" from "Thais"; piano selections from Cyril Poott wero rendered by Mrs. Joseph A. Ferraro. Following the pro- j yrain refreshments were served. ! M rs. Joseph fcicowcroft entertained at cards at her home Friday afternoon. The complimented quests were Mrs. O. K. ! Wilbur, Mrs. G. (?. Wright and Mrs. Flor-, eneo Ityheo of Idaho Falls. Ida., who are; visiting in this city. Two tables wero; arranged for bridge and "'"'00." Late in the afternoon refreshments were served. Mrs. c. S. Gunnell was hostess to the members of her bridge club Monday after- noon at her home. Three tables of bridge were played, followed by a luncheon. The Ladies' Literary club met Wednesday Wednes-day with the president, Mrs. H. W. Dunn. Mrs. John Cuiley read a paper on "Music and Art During- the War" und Mrs. Claude V. Ziun gave current events. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sarver entertained the members of the C. E. C. club at their home this evening. The rooms were decorated dec-orated in green and red and the evening was spent In playing "500." A supper was served following the card games, a vase of red carnations and hollv forming the centerpiece for the table. Tiny Christmas Christ-mas trees were at eaeh plate and the place cards were decorated with sprays of holly. Covers were laid for twelve. Mrs. W. H. Keeder, Jr., entertained her card club Friday afternoon. Three tables of "500'' were played, after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. Yellow chrysanthemums chrysanthe-mums decorated the rooms. The members of the Happy Hour club were the quests of Mrs. Carl S. Watson this afternoon. Needlework was the diversion di-version of the afternoon, and at 4 o'clock a luncheon was served. Tlie table had as a centerpiece a mound of red roses and violets combined with ferns. At either end were crystal candlesticks holding hold-ing red candles. Rod tulle was caught with bows at the ends of the table. The living- room was decorated with lary;e yellow chrysanthemums. Mrs. J. V. Reeve and Mrs. Paul Rouse were guests of the club. Mrs. P. F. McGaw entertained twenty-four twenty-four guests at a birthday party this afternoon, after-noon, in celebration of the eleventh birthday birth-day of her son, Clifford. Christmas dee-orations dee-orations were used throughout the rooms. Games and dancing were the entertainments entertain-ments and late in the afternoon a luncheon lunch-eon was served. Mrs. Mc'iaw was assisted assist-ed in entertaining- the young guests by Mrs. Etta Vincent. The marriage of Miss Violet Pnne to Thomas F. Power took place Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Bune. The "cerrmony was performed by the Rev. John Edward Carver jn the presence pres-ence of the immediate familv. The bride was attended by her sister. Mrs. Alexander Alexan-der Wheelwright, and Vincent Powers the bridegroom's brother, was best man' A wedding dinner was served following the ceremony. Large white chrysanthemums chrysanthe-mums arranged in a cut glass v'ae was the centerpiece. White and red rose decorated the rooms. The couple will make their home for the present" at 'uj Jefferson avenue. The Girls' Athletic association of the High school entertained the mpmhers of the football teams at dinner Wednesday evening in the school dining room. The dinner was prepared and served by the girls of the advanced cass of the dnmr-s-tle science department, under the supervision super-vision of Miss Gerta Woodruff. Tuesday and Wednesday, in the First Congregational church, the women of the church held their annual bazaar. A turkey tur-key dinner was served Tuesday evening from 5:30 until S o'clock, and a musical program and refreshments were special features of entertainment on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The Aeneadae club of the Ogden high school gave a party Friday evening in the school auditorium. The affair was one of the most delightful events of the club season and was a repetition of the soiree given recently at the home of Mrs. David Fccles by the Drama club. Miss Frances Marsh gave two delightful readings from Tennyson's Tenny-son's "Idylls of the King" and Mrs. B. E. Tyree rendered vocal selections. Mrs. C. C. Thatcher of Oakland, Cal is visiting in Ogden with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman J. Wright. Mrs. Thatcher will remain here during the holidays. Mrs. Ralph K.
