Show GLLILMD WILL SWEUJUTPUT Ground for Big Addition to New Factory Has Been Broken. Ground has been broken for a ?2(K,000 addition to the plant of the Cleveland I Automobile company. London road and Euclid avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, according to information received by C. A. .Quigley, Salt Lake Cleveland distributor. The ex- tension will be 200x80 feet, of brick, steel and concrete construction, four stories in height, and will increase production facilities fa-cilities for the Cleveland Light Six motor! car by one-third. The new factory unit is being erected I noith of and connecting with the present 600xS0-foot plant completed but a few months ago. and the completed plant will extend northward from Euclid avenue to ' the Nickel Plate railroad track?. With I the completion of this addition the Cleveland Cleve-land will have a factory SOOxSO feet, four stories higii "and containing 256,000 square feet of floor space. The plant is located on a nineteen -acre tract of ground. On the west side of the plant two spur tracks extend from the Nickel Plate main line to the front . of the factory on. Euclid avenue. When the men behind tho Cleveland Light Six planned a factory they pur- chased sufficient land for future" Extensions, Exten-sions, but contemplated no factory addition addi-tion in the near future, believing the original orig-inal plant w-ould be sufficient to meet the demand for the new car. T Towever, Immediately Im-mediately after the completion of the new plant some months ago, and , before the dealer organization of more than 1000 distributors had been -effected, there came a demand for the Cleveland Light Six I that swamped the factory and brought) Immediate response --from' the factory organization or-ganization in the shape of tentative plans for increased production. The addition now in course of construction was the result. While a large number of Light Sixes is being produced daily, the Cleveland I Autoniolbile company has not yet reached i its daily schedule of 1 ;.0 cars, which is the production fixed.
